Let us all try to be good parents and make good teachers to develop our country.

Courage to discover the impossible,
Courage to combat the problems
and Succeed, are the unique qualities of the youth.

Fluorosis - "A burning problem in the village" - Vijay Vardhan Reddy Chaikam
For the ages the village. has been experiencing the fluorosis problem. The efforts taken up by the Governement so far were failure. Pragathi has taken up this issue and to find a sustainable or permanent solution by discussing with the Governement and talking to other NGOs like IDC-America. We are going to achieve a permanent solution for this problem very soon. Our youth helped us communicating to the government and participated in all the discussions related to this continuing issue.
Our youth are also interested in the building of our nation in the right direction. We have created various websites to disseminate the valuable information among us and to the world. We have created a website to our Muppalla Mandal. We are planning to share our internet knowledge to the public servants and other interested politicians to serve the villages by using technology in the effective way.We have created a blog to share the good news and concerns in the development of India. We discuss using our group pragathi_org online.
Pragathi has the ideals to follow the spirituality and morals which will help develop good citizen and good nation. We are also working on the issues in the village like Clean and Green, Sanitation, Health Care, Livelihood and value education. Strengthening the education system(Education for Character as said by Swami Vivekananda) is one of our great objectives.
We celebrate the Mahatma Gandhi's Birth Day as Village Birth Day. We have got this good concept from Shri Anna Hazare. Youth day is celebrated on 12th January, the Birth Day of Swami Vivekananda who is a great source of inspiration for the youth in India.Apart from this We have celebrated Independence Day.In all of these meetings we help the needy children from the schools in the form of giving scholarships, some gifts, new clothes, certificates etc which creates more hope in the children for their better education. We are involving our DWACRA groups from the village in various activities to empower the women.
