The following projects are carried out in the village by Pragathi
- Setting up a computer center to teach computers to the villagers, students, Self Help Groups, Raitu Mitra etc to help them know and understand Computers and use them in future for their betterment.Lead India2020(www.leadindia2020.org) would collaborate with us to take this forward.
Computer center to be installed here on 14-NOV-09 side by the canal road which goes to Lankela Kurapadu
Once or twice in a week awareness campaign on sanitation for the clean village would be taken up in the village using a mike and a vehicle.This would be extended to all other villages in the Mandal very soon.
Gurkhas in the village would help us for the door to door campaign to distribute pamplets or other valuable material to every house hold.
Planning to employ(part time) 4 to 5 people to clean the village once or twice in a week
Taking off unnecessary books in the library and fill in the library with good books and which give good message for the development of the country
Setting up of good library in the High School with good booksAIDS/HIV Awareness campaign and the steps necessary to prevent HIV
Eradication of Musquitoes in the village by following clean and green , good sanitation etc
Youth Club - To help build good personality in the youth and to stand on their own feet
Computer Center - Basics of Computers, Basics of Internet, Awareness of the use of computers in the present world
Treatment of Fluorosis in the drinking water by collaborating with IDC-America (and to provide livelihood, better drinking water, good sanitation, better education,and better health care associating with
IDCA).Dr Giri who is a citizen of United States of America is helping us with the team of Katuri Medical College who joined our efforts to contain the issue of fluorosis.
Educating the people not to forget the great works and message of our ancient leaders and saints by celebrating youth day, village birth day, independence day etc every year
